I agree with Kisha on the same sex marriage being legal in all states. Like she said everyone should be able to live the life they want and be respected if they choose to go that route. When it comes to religious beliefs its a tough argument but at the same time all people don't have the same beliefs. If they are informed about how things should be done during your lifetime and they still choose to go that route then I think its fine. And the fact that 35 states have legalized it and the rest have not is crazy. They need to come to some kind of agreement.
I think Kisha did good stating facts about the states and her concerns on their decisions. She very well explained how she felt about the outcome of it all and her statement was pretty lengthy.

Women who work
In this New York Times I found this article shooting for equal fairness for pregnant women as disabled women. If your a women and you work for U.P.S and you are disabled you are able to work under what's called a "light duty" job or be moved to a different area. This includes losing your license because you were driving while intoxicated. If you become pregnant you will obviously be limited to how much weight you have to carry. Not being able to carry anything over 20 pounds was not okay. U.P.S refuses to accommodate anyone who is pregnant and will immediately compel you to go on unpaid medical leave. U.P.S says that they have a legal right to deny pregnant workers who are not able to perform the same actions as everyone else. In the article the women has sewed and took it all the way to the supreme court so they have a chance to strike a blow against discriminatory treatment. I don't think U.P.S should be able to accommodate the disabled and not women who are pregnant. They are both in the same boat. If someone gets in a car accident or something and is not able to lift heavy things what's really the difference? They should treat pregnant women the same way they do disabled and easily move them to another area and make note that they are under "light duty'.

Is Obamacare a failure or a Success?
In USA Today theirs an article about Obamacare that caught my eye.. really anything other than Ebola caught my eye. But the question is, is Obamacare a failure or a success? Most people are concerned that Obamacare is going to hurt them financially. Dick Meyer says "more people will have basically free health care while the rest of us have to pay. And the dept in this country will increase." Another thing is Obama administration was delayed enrollment six weeks which means that this year it will occur after election. Many people just thought it was sketchy because Obama allowed things to be delayed until after the election. Their are some that believe Obamacare will all go as planned with a little patience. Marvin Myszka says " Obamacare will be positive overall. The people will see that, like any medicine, it may not taste as good as we'd like, but it will cure many ills later on."

What message will voters send Washington in November?
Washington didn't believe that the campaigns were interesting the voters. He says instead of the same old things he thought to make and do things more enthusiastically. He believes that this years voters turnout will be low because no one is no longer interested or concerned. Washington says that enthusiasm will help republicans win close races and gain a majority.
Their was a poll on how interested voters were about the upcoming election from 2010 to 2014 and the percentage went down six percent. Basically proving that people are becoming less interested in elections. some people say that republicans have a better chance at winning the election because 54 percent of voters are highly interested compared to the democrats who have 44 percent interested. 42 percent of voters say that their not sending any signals to Washington either way.
I agree with putting more enthusiasm into voting because most people who are not into it are not going to be convinced with the yearly things that go on. As far as the percentages, you never really know who will win until election day. Those numbers can turn around quickly.

Should Voting Be Mandatory?
In this article most people don't think that voting should be mandatory. Some say instead we should make it competitive. Voters need meaningful choices so in order to increase voters we should make competition more exciting. You can also get a better response from the electors by making it competitive. Also forcing people to vote without being properly educated. Some people have different interests and are not into politics. With them being forced it defeats the whole purpose because they are not informed.
